Togliattiazot has almost finished development of detail design documentation for construction of the third urea production unit. Currently, dismantling of existing structures and rearrangement of utilities are in progress at the construction site.

Togliattiazot has almost finished development of detail design documentation for construction of the third urea production unit. Dismantling of existing structures and rearrangement of utilities are in progress at the construction site, the company informed Rupec.
Currently, 159 Contractor’s workers and 16 units of heavy machinery are working at the construction site of urea production unit No.3. The surface levelling of the land plot is completed, axes of future building are marked out, excavation of the trench and the pit for the new production facility is finished.
Development of detail design and update of design documentation, supply of equipment for construction are at their final phase. In the near future, the project will undergo the follow-up state expert review.
The capacity of urea production plant No.3 at Togliattiazot will reach 2.2 thousand tons per day. Startup of the unit will allow to increase the quantities of ammonia processing and urea production from 3 to 5.2 thousand tons per day, create 100 additional work places.
Investments in the project are estimated as equal 25 billion roubles. The commissioning of the facility is planned for 2021. The project is financed by own funds of the enterprise and by loan-based funding.
The active works on teh project starter several years ago. In 2016 the design documentation was completed and the positive conclusion of the state expert review was obtained. The construction of the new production unit was planned to start in 2017, yet work began in October 2018 only.
In spring 2018 the enterprise made agreements on raising a loan of 180 million Euro with the Bank Syndicate of Commerzbank AG (Switzerland) and Landesbank Baden-Wuerttemberg (Germany). The loan term is nine years, the interest is paid after a two-years grace period in the amount of 2%. The Swiss Export Risk Insurance (SERV) agency acts as guarantor.
PJSC Togliattiazot is one of the largest producers of nitrogen chemicals in Russia. Enterprise production capacities provide for over 3 million tons of ammonia (seven production units) and 960 thousand tons of urea (two production units) per year.
Togliattiazot (TOAZ), a leading producer of ammonia in Russia, ranks 247th in the RAEX-600 rating published by Kommersant.
In 2019, 174 children aged 7 to 17 visited recreational and health centers. In August, 100 of them went on holiday to the Dream Summer Camp located at the Black Sea in the village of Dzhubga, Tuapse District. The transfer services and hot meals were also sponsored by the enterprise. 74 children were given vouchers for wellness programs in Togliatti’s Rainbow Recreation Center in a pine forest on the Volga river. According to the collective agreement, parents paid as little as 30 % of the holiday package value.
Around 50 high school students have opened a new school year in the vocational classes in Gymnasium No. 35 and School No. 41 in Togliatti, created at the initiative of Russia’s largest ammonia producer Togliattiazot.
