TOAZ HELPS OPEN 24-HOUR REHAB WARD FOR DISABLED CHILDREN

OJSC Togliattiazot, Russia’s biggest ammonia producer, took part in the construction of Russia’s first 24-hour in-patient ward for children with disabilities. The unit is part of Togliatti Rehabilitation Center “Victoria” for children and teenagers with limited physical abilities. ToAZ supplied the center with building materials for completion of the repair works and helped install an air conditioning system.

The rehabilitation ward houses five patients and is equipped with multifunctional beds, a changing table, a sanitary room and a bathing chair, special equipment for lifting and moving. The center called “Berezhok” (Riverbank) offers a cozy homely atmosphere so that every patient can feel comfortable and quiet in new surroundings. The ward works round the clock and each child is under the watch of center’s specialists.

“Berezhok” was opened in the presence of Marina Antimonova, Minister for Social, Demographic and Family Policy of Samara Region, and Eduard Mikhailov, Director of Rehabilitation Center “Victoria”.

Togliattiazot pays great attention to development of available medical care, special aid and diagnostics not only for the ToAZ employees but for all city residents.”

Earlier in 2015, Togliattiazot helped open a special ward for children with multiple pathologies at “Victoria” rehabilitation center. The company also takes an active part in development of the public health care system in the city. This year, a digital densitometer was installed at the diagnostic center of “Nadezhda” health resort for measuring the density of bones and the complex analysis of the human skeleton. The densitometer that has analogs only at several private clinics of Samara and at Samara University of Medicine is now available for all the citizens of Togliatti and Samara Region who are taking course at the health resort. Further expansion of the available medical research and procedures is in the plans.
