Togliattiazot Adopted a RUB 39 Billion Worth 10-Year Investment Program
Togliattiazot has adopted an investment program until 2029 worth RUB 39 billion, RBC reports.
The investment program includes construction of Urea Unit 3 with a capacity of 2,200 tons per day, the volume of investment will exceed RUB 25 billion. The construction work started in 2018, and so far some of the preparatory work has been completed, and the launch of a new project facility is scheduled for the second half of 2021.
The value of the project for the modernisation of biological treatment facilities at Togliattiazot will amount to more than RUB 5 billion. RUB 1.5 billion is allocated to infrastructure projects. Another project to be implemented is the construction of the company’s own water conduit, which may gain strategic importance for all industrial enterprises in Togliatti.
Investment in the procurement of hopper cars from Barnaul Rail Car Plant will total more than RUB 2 billion. TOAZ will purchase 200 rail cars to transport raw materials, another 200 rail cars may be leased. The program envisages RUB 8 billion worth investment in the modernisation and upgrade of the existing ammonia and urea units.
Togliattiazot is one of the largest ammonia producers in Russia and worldwide. The plant’s capacities are designed to produce more than 3 million tons of products annually.
Russian nitrogen fertilizer major Togliattiazot on Monday revealed the centrepiece of its new urea plant - a 107 metre tall granulation tower - had been installed and the project is 38% complete. Due for commissioning in 2021, the 2,200 tonne/day unit will reinforce the company's presence as the largest supplier of urea to the domestic market.
TogliattiAzot receives 150 new hopper cars ordered from United Wagon Company for transportation of mineral fertilizers. The press service of the chemical enterprise announced the news.
