Federal Agency for Maritime and River Transport Approves the Land Use Plan for the Ammonia and Urea Transhipment Complex in Taman seaport
As we have reported earlier, Russia’s largest ammonia producer Togliattiazot PJSC is implementing the project at its own expense. The complex is scheduled to be commissioned in 2020.

Public Joint-Stock Company Togliattiazot plans to launch an educational project for those over 50 and older since January next year: all comers will be able to undergo retraining and professional development free of charge at the expense of the local backbone enterprise, rather than under any governmental programs or on commercial terms.

Russian export-oriented companies are increasingly building their own port terminals for the sake of more efficient foreign shipments, as well as for reducing political risks. Thus, thanks to its transshipment terminal project in Taman that TogliattiAzot started implementing almost 20 years ago, and that is going to be launched in 2020, the company will solve several problems at once. First of all, the company will not need a transit through Ukraine, the relations with which have become much more complicated in the past three years, and will also receive a number of competitive advantages. The experts say that transshipment using a shorter path through the Russian port may attract other manufacturers as well.
