TOGLIATTIAZOT WILL ADJUST ITS PLANS FOR RAILAWAY INFRASTRUCTURE CONSTRUCTION IN TAMAN IN VIEW OF THE CONSTRUCTION OF A BRIDGE TO CRIMEA
OJSC Togliattiazot will adjust its plans for railway infrastructure construction in Tamanunder a project for marine transshipment complex construction, in view of the bridge to Crimea construction project, the company reported.
«We expect that the construction of the bridge to Crimea will have a positive effect on transportation system of the region, and a railway branch and a station near Taman port will blend in with this system. At the moment, Togliattiazot initial plans for railway lines and station construction are being adjusted subject to the upcoming bridge project», Togliattiazot explained.
As of today, main industrial facilities of the transshipment complex (liquid ammonia and urea storage facilities, hydraulic rack with vessel loading piers), as well as the company operation support facilities (including biological treatment plants, gas-distribution station and gas pipeline, boiler house 12 mW) are in a state of high operational readiness.
The agreements between Togliattiazot and FSUE Rosmorport provide for implementation of bottom dredging works without financing from the state budget.
The project contemplates commissioning of two terminal queues: for ammonia transshipment and for urea transshipment with a turnover of 2 million and 3 million tons per year respectively. The transshipment complex infrastructure includes three main parts: the hydraulic complex intended for reception of vessels with DWT of up to 50 thousand tons, shore-based terminal, which includes ammonia and bulk cargoes transshipment facilities, as well as a number of auxiliary facilities.
The investment project for construction of transshipment complex is planned to be implemented without budget financing. Total investments will amount to over $300 million.
