TOGLIATTIAZOT INCREASED THE CAPACITY OF THE AMMONIA LOADING RACK

PJSC TOAZ (Togliattiazot), one of the leading mineral fertilizer producers in Russia, continues its large-scale production development program. The first stage of a major project to upgrade the loading tracks of the discharge/loading rack was completed at the ammonia preparation shop (No.13).

Almost all repair and auxiliary services of the factory took part in the main construction and installation works. The liquid loading manifold was replaced at the loading rack, new pipelines and larger diameter loading hoses were installed, which increased the capacity of the loading rack and the speed of ammonia loading.

Modernization of the loading rack will help to increase the volume of ammonia shipment by rail, which is one of the company's priorities. The upgraded 24-point loading rack is now equipped with new loading facilities, which will significantly increase loading efficiency and reduce tanker downtime. Loading will be carried out through new pipelines 24 hours a day and the process will be automated as much as possible.

The first stage of increasing ammonia loading is completed. The next stage, which implies to convert all the discharge/loading tracks exclusively for ammonia loading, is on the way.

- The realities of the times challenged us, and we accepted. TOAZ promptly revised its investment program and accelerated the projects to increase our product shipment capacity by rail. Thanks to the modernization, we will be able to increase the loading capacity of the loading rack for our main products to about six thousand tons of ammonia per day. It will undoubtedly have a positive effect on production stability and the possibility to increase ammonia supplies to the domestic market. In the medium term, increasing rail shipments will allow TOAZ to repurpose to other ports for export shipments.
