TOAZ SUPPORTED SAMARA TEAM DURING WORLD CHILDREN’S WINNERS GAMES
ToAZ supported the Samara Region’s team, which turned a good score at the World Children’s Winners Games, held on June 2-4 in Moscow. The World Children’s Winners Games are the global sporting competitions among children, who had oncological diseases. The company provided organisational assistance to the Samara regional public children's emergency organisation, Viktoriya, which initiated the team’s participation in the games.
This year, children from the Samara Region took part in the World Children’s Winners Games for the sixth time. Based on the results of the competitions, the Samara team won 13 awards in various sports, including 5 gold medals as a result of competitions in table tennis, shooting, swimming and running. A total of 500 children aged 7 to 16 from Russia, Europe and CIS countries took part in the games.

Each of the project participants is a winner, who has shown incredible courage in fighting a terminal disease. It was important for ToAZ to help the Samara team to become part of this grand celebration of hope and faith, which involved children from various countries. We are happy that this year our children gained some boost in good spirits and emotions from a remarkable project and communicating with their peers, and that they showed excellent results in the sporting competitions.”
The World Children’s Winners Games are organized by Podari Zhizn charity foundation. The rehabilitation project is designed to help children, who had oncological diseases, to adjust to further life in society and believe in themselves again.
Social projects, involving ToAZ on a regular basis, include greening of the city area as part of a program to restore the famous Togliatti forests of the Togliatti Fund. Jointly with the Togliatti Philharmonic, ToAZ holds concerts for residents of the Komsomolsky District in Togliattiazot House of Culture. This year, ToAZ, jointly with the Nebezrazlichno Fund, has launched the Impulse fellowship program to support talented musicians and provide cultural development in Togliatti. Based on the results of the city’s charity contest in 2016, ToAZ received the status of Philanthropist of the Year.
