Basalt fiber and film

Production of high-strength basalt fiber was established to provide the sites of TogliattiAzot Corporation with quality and environment-friendly non-flammable insulation material, with a combination of properties excelling previously used glass wool. The new material is reasonable to be utilized in industrial projects and is widely used for warmth-keeping purposes in dwelling and social buildings.

Polyethylene film is made in the same workshop where the super-thin basalt fiber is produced. The company produces several types of film with different technological parameters and for different purposes. The film, which has been produced since 1994, is primarily used by the corporation for its own needs. In particular, thermo-set film is used for brick packaging and for making sacks to pack carbamide. Film for general technical purposes is used for the needs of other departments.
